Program Registrations

CanSkate is a dynamic learn-to-skate program that focuses on fun, participation and basic skill development.  Skaters will learn a series of balance, control and agility skills taught in six stages.  CanSkate is for participants who can move forward unassisted and complete a full lap around the arena with relative speed.  Skaters require a CSA approved helmet.  Our CanSkate sessions are instructed by Skate Canada Certified Professional Coaches and delivered in a group format.  All ice and coaching costs are included in the registration price.  Prerequisite(s): successful completion of PreCanSkate or equivalent.

Junior Academy is a bridging program designed to enhance and build upon the skills your skater has already learned in the CanSkate or Intro to Figure Skating programs.  Skaters receive specialized instruction for figure skating in a small group setting.  All skaters accepted into the program have been talent identified by certified Skate Canada coaches based on their ability, desire and an expressed interest in continuing development in figure skating.  Skaters must wear lace-up figure skates and may require a CSA-approved hockey helmet.  All ice and coaching costs are included in the registration price.  Prerequisite(s): coach's invitation and successful completion of CanSkate Stage 3 or equivalent.

Please note: 45 minutes of coaching and 15 minutes of individual practice is included in the registration price.  No additional coaching is required, however parents may choose to add on a 15-minute private lesson for their skater at an additional cost.  This is completely optional.  Parents are invoiced directly on a monthly basis for any additional coaching desired.

JR/SR STAR is a combined figure skating session suited for skaters working on STAR 1 to Gold.  From 4:45-5:15PM, skaters will participate in a class/group lesson (stroking, edges & turns, etc.).  Please note: coaching for the 30-minute class/group lesson is included in the registration price.  Any additional coaching is an additional cost to the registration price.

JR/SR STAR is a combined figure skating session suited for skaters working on STAR 1 to Gold.  Please note: coaching is an additional cost to the registration price.

JR/SR STAR is a figure skating session suited for skaters working on STAR 1 to Gold.  This weekly session provides for individual practice and/or optional group, private or semi-private lessons; only ice included in price; no 30-min group lesson programmed.
